About us

OUR STORY

Sport is a way of life in Geelong. From grassroots clubs to elite athletes, our sporting progress not only keeps pace with, but helps to shape the growth and development of our region.

Geelong Sports Museum celebrates every kick, shot, point, kilometre and catch along the way – giving you front-row seats to some of the biggest games in our sporting history.

As a serious contributor to Australia’s sporting landscape, Geelong boasts some of the most successful sportsmen and women in Australia, as well as being the home to sporting innovations used all over the world. The Museum lets you experience them up close for yourself. With a one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia collection, teams of every kind can gather, learn and celebrate the role sport plays in the community together.

Located in the heart of the Kardinia Park Precinct, Geelong Sports Museum was established as part of the $140 million ‘Stage 5’ redevelopment of GMHBA Stadium, delivered by the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Gear up and prepare to experience a specially curated collection of Geelong’s greatest sporting highlights through unforgettable exhibitions, films, artefacts, and interactive experiences.
